Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Barbering Trade Certification, Hairstylist Trade Certification, Barber Licence, Hairstylist Licence
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English
Work Setting: Hairstyling salon or studio
Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Braiding, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Twisting, Locking, Relaxing, Spiking, Pin curling, Roller setting
Hair Colouring Techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Presentations, Streaking/highlights
Related Skills: Analyze hair and scalp conditions and provide basic treatments, Provide advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
Barbering Specific Skills: Cut and trim hair
Additional Skills: Shampoo customers' hair, Supervise apprentices/students in training
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods
Essential Skills: Working with others
