Title: Child-care worker - day care (Child Development Assistant) (NOC: 4214)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time leading Full Time

Salary: To be negotiated, Bonus, Other Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Edmonton West, Alberta (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Not required

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Work Setting: Child care centre

Children's Ages: 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years

Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills: Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Prepare and serve snacks, Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children

Additional Skills: Assist in housekeeping duties

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information:A $2500.00 bonus offered to people new to the field or returning after first year of employment. Child Development Assistant Certificate, level 1 is required. Closed for a 2 week summer vacation.
